Vent: My latest piece hit 10,000 views on ArtStation overnight
It's a simple character portrait I did for a friend's game, nothing fancy. Has anyone else had a piece blow up for reasons you can't quite figure out?

Honestly, 10k views is just a number. The algorithm probably just picked it up for a random reason. Don't let it mess with your head.

Blairwhite is right about the algorithm being random. I had a post blow up once and it messed with me for weeks. The trick is to just make the next thing without checking the numbers. Treating it like a fluke helped me stop worrying about repeating it. Just keep posting what you want and ignore the view count.
