Tried two different ways to handle my mail for a year, one saved me a ton of stress
For the first six months I was moving around, I had a friend back home open and scan all my mail, which was slow and a big ask. Then I signed up for a virtual mailbox service, Traveling Mailbox, for about 20 bucks a month. They scan the outside of everything the day it arrives, and I can tell them to open and scan the inside or shred it right from my phone. The difference was huge, I got a time-sensitive tax document scanned and emailed to me in Bali within 24 hours instead of waiting a week for my friend. Has anyone else found a better service or a cheaper way to handle this that works in Asia?

Ever notice how paying for a simple service is often the real shortcut to peace of mind?

Totally agree with you @markm27, paying for that simple service is a game changer. I used to spend hours trying to fix my own lawn mower every spring, just to save a few bucks. Last month I just paid the local shop to tune it up. It cost me sixty dollars and I got my whole Saturday back, no stress at all. It's the best money I've spent in a while.

My buddy tried to fix his own garage door opener for a week. Finally called a guy, paid a hundred bucks, and said it was the best sleep he's had in months.
