Overheard someone at the craft store say 'just use a shoebox' for a pen organizer and it got me thinking

I was grabbing some felt for a little desk tray last week and this lady told her friend to save money by using old shoeboxes instead of buying those premade organizers. It made me realize half my stuff is just repurposed junk from around the house anyway. Do you guys usually buy supplies or just raid your recycling bin for desk decor ideas?
