Hit 500 board repairs last month and it felt weirdly empty
Everybody talks about hitting big numbers like 1000 or 2000 as a milestone, but 500 was the one that actually made me stop and think about how far I've come since I started fixing old TVs in my garage. Anyone else find a random smaller number more meaningful than the big round ones?

Nah, 500 just means you burned through a lot of gear without stopping to think.

500 was the one that hit different for me too. It's that first real proof you're not just messing around anymore.

Doesn't it make you feel like you've crossed some invisible line when you hit that 500 mark? Like suddenly the gear isn't just a hobby or a phase, it's a genuine commitment that's going to take years to truly understand. I remember getting my first 500 hours in and realizing how much I still didn't know, but also how much I'd already changed as a person because of it. That's when it stops being about the number and starts being about the lifestyle shift it represents.
