Tiny screws that strip easy make repairs a nightmare
Had to drill out three on a phone yesterday. Manufacturers should use better hardware.

My Pixel 4a had those tiny screws, and I never stripped any during a battery swap. They seem delicate, but with careful handling, it's manageable (most of the time, anyway). Maybe it's more about technique than the hardware itself.

I read a forum post where a repair guy stressed using the right driver bit. He mentioned those screws are made of softer metal, so any wiggle ruins them. His tip was to press down firmly but slowly when unscrewing. Makes sense why some folks strip them and others don't.

Wait, you got through a Pixel 4a battery swap without stripping one? That phone is basically glued together, how'd you even get to the screws?
