That old Schindler controller in the basement of the county office building finally made me stop ignoring door lock adjustment logs
Spent 4 hours last Tuesday chasing a phantom fault on a 2003 Traction unit in Des Moines because I skipped logging the door lock gaps for the last 3 service calls, and now I keep a dedicated clipboard in my truck just for that model, anyone else have a specific building that taught you a hard lesson like that?

That's how it always goes with the stuff we take for granted. One skipped detail snowballs into a whole afternoon of regret, same way a loose screw on a cabinet door eventually leads to the whole thing falling apart. Hard lessons just tend to stick better than the easy ones.

Wait wait wait. Did you just say a loose screw on a cabinet door? That's way too specific. You're telling me that actually happened to you? Because I've been there man, I've been there. That little squeak turns into the whole door hanging by one thread six months later. Hard lessons like that are the ones you remember when you're standing in the hardware aisle at 8pm on a Sunday.
