Shoutout to the thrift store lady who told me my pattern matching was off
I was at a Goodwill in Portland last Tuesday and this older woman watched me hold up a plaid shirt I was about to cut up for a dress. She just said "honey, those lines don't match at the shoulder seam" and walked off. After I looked closer, she was totally right - has anyone else had a stranger save them from a sewing disaster like that?
Read an article saying people who just point out flaws think they're helping but usually don't know how to fix it themselves. Seems like that's what happened here.
