Had a week where every batch of kombucha came out perfect and I'm suspicious
Last Thursday I bottled 6 gallons that all had the exact right fizz and no floaters, then Friday's pellicle grew in a perfect circle like it was on purpose, and Sunday I even caught my SCOBY hotel smelling like green apples instead of vinegar, has anyone else had a fermentation stretch that felt too good to be true?

Did my SCOBY suddenly get its act together or is this how it lures you into buying bigger jars?

Wait, is it possible your water source changed? Like if the city flushed the pipes or your well got a new filter, the mineral balance could shift and suddenly your culture is thriving in ways it never did before. I had a buddy who thought he cracked the kombucha code forever, turned out his utility company swapped their treatment chemicals and his brew went from cloudy mess to crystal clear overnight. Another thought is maybe you swapped tea brands without noticing, some teas have way different mineral content that can mess with the ferment. Might be worth checking your water report and comparing it to last month.
