I was dead wrong about super glue on a cracked garden pot

Tried that dollar store gel super glue on a terracotta pot I broke last spring and it held through a whole season of rain and frost, has anyone else had luck with this stuff on ceramics?

Did you sand the break points first before gluing, @taylor.phoenix?

Oh man, you had better luck than me. I tried that same dollar store gel super glue on a ceramic mug I dropped and it popped right off the first time I washed it. Guess my mug had some grime or something it didn't like. Yours held through rain and frost? That's way better than my attempt at fixing a broken ladybug statue. It's now sitting in two pieces on my shelf like a sad little reminder of my glue failures.

@taylor.phoenix Oh tell me about it, I glued a plant pot back together and it fell apart the Very next day!
