My antique floor lamp in the living room wobbled for months until a friend's dad showed me the trick
He just grabbed a nickel, wedged it under the loose base leg, and said 'sometimes the fix costs five cents'. Anyone know other cheap shim ideas for furniture?

Ugh tell me about it, I've got a wobbly dining chair that's been driving me nuts for months. Never even thought about using a nickel like that, that's genius honestly.
