Finally caved and bought a proper project management app for $15 a month
It felt like a splurge, but having all my deadlines and client notes in one place saved me from missing a big deliverable last week. Anyone else have a simple tool that actually made a difference?

Seriously? A notebook and a free calendar app work just fine for me.

Totally get that, and I used to be the same way. The problem for me was that the free calendar couldn't hold the notes and files I needed to attach to each deadline. I started missing small details that were scribbled in a different notebook. Having it all linked in one spot is what finally made the switch worth it for me.
