Swore I'd never use time trackers until I lost a $2,500 project last month

I was dead set against time trackers for 3 years, said they felt like a leash. Then I underbid a logo + website package by 40 hours and ate $2,500 in unpaid labor because I had no record of my actual hours. Has anyone else had a wake-up call that made you change a stubborn freelancer habit?

Woah, I gotta disagree on this one. Time trackers saved me from that exact nightmare a few times, but I still only use them for client work not daily life. Honestly sounds like the underbidding was the real problem, not the tracking.

Read a study saying freelancers who track time invoice 20% more on average, so maybe that's the real win.
