Appreciation post: I just hit 1000 hours on my orbital sander
I mean, I always thought I'd replace it after a couple years, but it's still running smooth after all that use. It's a basic model I bought for a big refinishing job on a set of six oak dining chairs back in 2019. Anyone else have a tool that just refuses to quit on them?

That "basic model" part is so true... the simple ones just seem to last forever.

Totally! I bet it's because they're easier to fix. You can actually find parts and guides for old, simple stuff. That built-in repairability is the real secret to lasting forever.
