Serious question, has anyone else had a client bring in a piece with a 'milk paint' finish that was actually just house paint?

I spent three hours last Tuesday trying to strip a 1980s dresser for a client in Springfield who swore it was an original finish, only to find three layers of Behr satin latex under the grime, which completely changed my approach to pre-job consultations.
