PSA: The $80 wall-mounted bike rack I bought is a total space saver

I got tired of my bikes leaning against the workbench and taking up floor space. I put up a simple vertical rack from the hardware store last weekend. It holds two bikes up off the ground and cleared a whole corner. Has anyone else found a good way to store bikes without spending a fortune?

My old apartment had a tiny hallway and my roommate's bike was always in the way. I ended up hanging it from the ceiling with two cheap hooks and a bungee cord. Looked janky as hell but it worked. He nearly gave himself a concussion once when he forgot it was up there. Good times.

Got to love a janky fix that actually works. My old place had the same problem, but we just leaned bikes against the wall and tripped over them constantly. Your ceiling idea was smarter, even with the head injury risk. That's just part of the shared living experience.
