PSA: The local craft fair scene has changed a lot in three years
Three years ago at the Asheville summer market, my booth was one of maybe three doing blown glass. Last week at the same event, I counted eight of us. It's cool to see more people getting into it, but the vibe is totally different now, way more competitive on price for simple pieces. Has anyone else seen this shift in their area, and how are you dealing with it?

Ever think that was just a good thing?

Depends who you ask. The people who lost out probably don't see it that way.

Man, that's a good point. I'm wondering though, when you say the vibe is different, is it just the pricing pressure or are customers actually acting different too? Like are they still asking about your process or is it more of a "how low can you go" situation? I feel like that's the real sign of whether the scene is actually growing or just getting crowded.
