Found out most of the Bauhaus school's work was made in just 14 years

I was reading a book on design history and it said the Bauhaus only ran from 1919 to 1933. That's such a short time for a style that still shapes everything from logos to furniture. How can a movement that lasted less than my old car still feel so new?

Good ideas don't need a long time.

Absolutely, that's a great point. It reminds me of how the best solutions are often the simplest ones. You see it all the time when someone cuts through a bunch of complicated talk with a clear, easy answer. Overthinking things can really bury a good idea under a pile of extra stuff. The core of something great is usually pretty straightforward once you find it.

...and honestly, I'm not sure I buy it. I mean, some of the best things I've ever worked on took forever to get right. The first draft of an idea is usually rough, it needs time to sit and get poked at. If it's really that good, why rush it? A quick idea can be a good starting point, sure, but calling it a full good idea right away feels like skipping a bunch of steps. Most of the time, a simple idea turns out to be just a shallow one after you look at it for a bit.
