Honestly, the vintage signage on the old shops in downtown Savannah gave me some killer retro color palette ideas.
Ngl, I took about 50 photos of these faded 1950s paint jobs on Broad Street, especially a mint green and coral combo that would work perfectly for a modern brand wanting a throwback feel.

Broad Street's color combos are a bit overdone now. That mint and coral look is on every other coffee shop and candle label. The real interesting stuff is in the industrial yards off Wheaton Street, where the paint has peeled back to three or four different layers of factory colors.

Totally agree about the industrial yards. I used to take photos of those peeling walls for color ideas. The trick is to go right after it rains, the layers show up way better when the old paint is wet. You can see the original factory greens and grays under the newer stuff. Bring a small notebook to sketch the combos you like, because camera phones never get the colors right in that light. Those accidental palettes always look more real than anything you'd pick from a fan deck.

Oh man, @nina_sullivan61 hitting us with the pro tips over here. Rain soaked paint layers? That's some next level color hunting I never even thought about. Guess I've been doing it wrong just walking around with my phone like a total tourist. Next time I'll bring a whole notebook like I'm some kinda fancy art critic or something. But watch me forget and just end up squinting at the wall trying to memorize the shades.
