PSA: I got way too deep into the Dyatlov Pass thing last week

I was up until 3 AM reading about the hikers in the Ural Mountains, trying to figure out the avalanche theory versus the military test idea. Now I can't look at a normal hiking photo without my brain trying to find some weird detail... it's honestly messing with my head. Does anyone else have a mystery that just got stuck in their brain like that?

The Dyatlov Pass case is a total rabbit hole. I spent a whole weekend once going down the "infrasound" theory, which just made me jumpy at every weird noise in my own house. My brain still tries to connect random dots into a conspiracy now. What's your current top theory on what happened?

My top theory is a clumsy avalanche that spooked them into a panicked, half-dressed escape, followed by hypothermia doing the real dirty work. The radiation and missing tongues? Probably just weird post-death stuff and scavengers. Sometimes the boring answer is the right one, even if it's LESS fun than secret weapons testing.

What scavenger neatly removes a tongue without touching the eyes?
