inCan we talk about using a rasp on wet hooves?
Yeah exactly, @gray_white gets it. I've been there with a soaked hoof and a rasp full of mud. Sometimes you just grab the coarse file because it clears the gunk fast. It's not the textbook move, but if you're careful and keep checking your work, you can still get a clean, safe trim. Better than trying to force a clogged tool or leaving the horse standing in the wet.

inRiver crossing scare changed how I plan routes
Ever hear about the guy who avoided that washed out trail in the Rockies last spring? He saw the closure notice online because he checked the forest service site right before leaving. I guess sometimes the scary close calls happen to other people so we don't have to learn the hard way.

inUnpopular opinion: These new subdivision trees are a biodiversity nightmare.
Try planting native wildflowers first, they're pretty and less scary for HOAs lol.

inJust realized that letting coolant levels drop too low is a sure way to ruin a finish, maybe it's just me but I see it happen a lot.
My friend Max had it happen on his Honda Civic last year. The plastic reservoir cracked and left this permanent blue stain down the side of the engine bay.

inFeeling pretty good about our scrap metal turnaround
Recycling plants in Ohio use more power than small towns. That's a huge drain on resources. We gotta find more efficient methods.
