Hot take: GTA house buying felt simpler back in the day
Back in GTA Vice City, getting a new property was quick and fun. Now in GTA Online, you grind for hours just to buy a basic garage. What's your take on how home improvement changed in the games?

Saw a youtube video breaking down how properties used to be progress rewards, not just money sinks. They made a good point about shark cards pushing everything toward grind now. Back then you finished a mission chain and got a cool safehouse as part of the story. These days it's just a price tag on a map, and the cheapest ones are stupidly expensive for new players. It lost that feeling of earning a place in the world and just feels like another transaction.

Funny how it turns story moments into just another shopping list.

Yeah I saw a breakdown like that too. It's like what @ryan_black said, turning a story reward into a shopping trip just kills the vibe. Makes the whole world feel cheaper.
