That movie The Void had me scratching my head for a week straight
Last week I finally watched The Void (the 2016 one) and I still can't figure out what the ending was supposed to mean. So the cult guys are doing all these body horror rituals in a hospital basement, and then the main character gets pulled into this weird portal that looks like a giant flesh tunnel. My buddy said it's about death and rebirth, but I think the director just ran out of money and slapped on whatever footage he had. Has anyone else tried to sort out the timeline of that movie? Like, does the whole thing happen in one night or is there some time loop stuff going on that I missed?

Spent a solid hour explaining the plot to my cat and she still looked more confused than me. Pretty sure the timeline works if you just assume logic took the night off.
