Was playing Metal Gear Solid 3 and my friend walked in during the ladder scene
He seriously thought I was just staring at a wall for fun and asked if I was playing a loading screen simulator. Now whenever someone mentions slow game moments I tell them about the 2 minute ladder climb that had him so confused.

Hear me out though, that ladder climb is one of my favorite parts of the whole game. It's like a forced breather to think about everything that just happened, your mileage may vary but it really lands for me.

Read an interview where the devs said it's there on purpose for pacing.
