Realized after 10 years I've been peeling carrots the slow way

I saw my roommate peel a carrot toward herself instead of away and it took me 2 seconds to figure out why mine always snapped in half, anyone else been doing basic kitchen tasks wrong their whole adult life?

10 years of carrots snapping seems like a pretty minor problem honestly.

Man, my buddy snapped one and it sliced his thumb open pretty bad.
