I just found out my 1970s Crock-Pot cooks way hotter than modern ones
I was looking up old manuals online last night for my thrifted slow cooker from a garage sale in Omaha, and I saw a stat that said those old models hit around 300 degrees on low while new ones barely get to 200. That explains why my chili was always bubbling like crazy after 4 hours and coming out mushy. Has anyone else noticed a big difference between old and new slow cookers?
