Shoutout to that rainy Tuesday that made me look at soda can art differently

I had this week where everything went wrong. Monday I crushed a can wrong for a wall hanging and it split right down the seam, wasted about 20 minutes. Then Tuesday it poured rain and I couldn't go outside to cut cans in the garage, so I just sat there staring at a stack of empties. That's when I realized I could layer the crushed pieces instead of trying to make perfect shapes. Has anyone else had a bad day that actually helped you figure out a new technique?

Read somewhere that artists call those "happy accidents" - turned out true for me too.

Just had a glob of wet paint fall off my brush onto a canvas last week and it turned into the best part.
