My aunt said to fold bath towels in thirds instead of halves for linen closets

She claimed it prevents that pile of towels from falling over every time you grab one, and after 4 weeks of trying her way, I haven't had a single avalanche. The thirds method creates a tighter roll that stacks way better than my old half-fold technique. Anyone else have a relative who swears by a weird folding trick that actually works?

My wife tried that and now I just throw my towels on the floor out of spite.

Haha "out of spite" - I respect the commitment to the bit. That's how you end up with a laundry room standoff that lasts years. My buddy did this and now his wife just leaves the wet towels right where they land until they get moldy. Then she walks past them for three days straight giving him the death stare. Its a power move on a level neither of them signed up for.
