The $8 cable tester that fixed my flipping hobby

I've been flipping old laptops for extra cash the last few years, but I kept getting returns where the buyer said something wasn't charging or connecting right. Spent hours swapping batteries and ports on a Dell Latitude from 2015 until a guy at the electronics recycler told me to grab a cheap multimeter for $8 at Harbor Freight. Tested every pin on the charging jack and found a bent one I would have never noticed with my eyes. Now I check every port before listing and my return rate dropped from like 30% to zero. Anybody else rely on a cheap tool that saved your whole setup?

Multimeter isn't the same as a cable tester though. That's a different tool for checking continuity on wires.
