I finally tried using a potato to clean my cast iron skillet instead of soap
Family says soap ruins the seasoning, but my buddy swears a raw potato half and salt gets it cleaner without stripping the oils. Did a side by side test with two skillets last night and the potato one actually came out smoother. Which side is right or is there a better weird method I'm missing?
Honestly, @lee.diana, I get that. "Who cares that much about a pan" is a straight up mood. Some people act like a slightly sticky skillet is a life or death situation, but really it's just a pan. I'm with you, a little seasoning issue isn't worth all that stress.
