Finally picked bananas over chocolate in a smoothie and it actually worked
I always go for chocolate because I figure I'll ruin it anyway but yesterday I tried banana peanut butter instead and it was actually drinkable. Has anyone else found a swap that just clicks one day?

Honestly I did the same thing with oatmeal a few months back. I always loaded it up with brown sugar and maple syrup but one morning I just threw in a mashed banana and a spoonful of peanut butter instead and it was way better. Now I do that maybe three times a week and never miss the sugar because the banana gets sweet enough when you really mash it in with a fork and stir it around for a minute.

Dude YES the mashed banana trick is an absolute GAMECHANGER, I do the SAME thing now with peanut butter.

And the texture change is huge too. The banana gets creamy and the peanut butter makes it almost like a dessert. I've been doing that with overnight oats lately. Mash the banana right into the milk before adding the oats. Let it sit overnight and the whole thing is sweet and thick without any added sugar. Throwing some chia seeds in there helps with the texture too. Makes me wonder why I ever messed with brown sugar in the first place.
