Used my snow shovel to move gravel. Big mistake.
Last weekend I needed to level out a patch in my backyard. Like 3 feet by 4 feet. Didn't feel like walking to the shed for the real shovel. Grabbed my snow shovel from the garage instead. First scoop went fine. Second scoop the handle snapped clean in half. Plastic handle, cheap one. Gravel is way heavier than snow, who knew. Ended up using a dustpan and a trowel for the rest. Took me like an hour. Has anyone else wrecked a tool by using it for something it wasn't meant for?

Oh man, I've definitely been there. Now I just use a flat shovel for anything heavier than dirt, it saves a lot of headache.
