inMy client wanted a color change that would fry her hair, and I had to refuse
Wow, your friend made the right call! @jenny_nguyen89, I've been in that same spot before. I refused to color a client's hair because it was so weak from over processing. She got upset and found another salon, but then her hair melted during the service. They had to chop most of it off, and she was devastated. Honestly, saying no saves everyone from a huge mess later on. Does your friend get many clients who don't listen to the warning?

inSeeing so many glowing reviews for camping gear with built-in speakers
You're right about it solving problems that don't exist. It just locks you into one speaker that will probably break, instead of using whatever you already have. The whole point is to unplug, not to drag your living room into the woods.

inRant: I swore by my old knife until a tricky cut proved me wrong
Ever have one of those moments where you realize you've been making things harder for yourself? I was the same with exacto knives... always used a cheap one from a craft store for everything. Then I had to cut some really precise stencils and it was just mangling the edges. Borrowed a friend's good knife and it was like a whole different world. The cut was so clean it changed how I saw the whole task. Now I get why people invest in the right blade for the job.
