Cleaned out and labeled all my baking jars... flour, sugar, everything has a spot.

Ugh, unlabeled containers are the worst. I saw a thing online where someone used baking powder instead of flour in a cake because the bins looked the same. Total waste. After hearing about that mess from @the_robin's friend, I check my own labels twice. I've had my own near-disasters with the big sack of powdered sugar looking just like the flour. Once you ruin one batch of cookies, you never skip the label again. It just saves so much trouble and money.

Why does nobody talk about the time a client brought their pet parrot to a site meeting?

Last month, a cat knocked over my coffee during a Zoom call. I totally get having strict pet rules now. I put "no animals" in all my booking emails after that mess. Keeping treats and a spare room ready just makes sense for backup.

Customer baked me a pie after a speedy fix, but is a thank you note too much?

Oh man, that reminds me of my neighbor's kid who used to mow lawns. He'd sometimes find like a five dollar bill stuck to a wet patch of grass or something, and his mom made him draw these little "thank you" pictures to give back. One lady loved it so much she basically had him do her whole yard every week all summer. It’s wild how a tiny thing like that just sticks with people. Makes them feel seen, you know?

I hung pegboard in my kitchen to organize all my baking tools.

Hmm, that might not always be the case. I mean, if the pegboard is on a wall far from the stove, grease might not reach it. Plus, tools get used and washed often in a busy kitchen. Maybe it's just me, but I've seen pegboards in kitchens that stay pretty clean. It really depends on where you put it and how you use your space.

Companies pushing for endless certifications is a waste of time

The cert treadmill is exhausting and rarely leads to better work.
