Showerthought: I used to scoff at torque wrench calibration, until it saved a landing gear job
I mean, I always thought calibrating torque wrenches was overkill, just paperwork. But last week, on a landing gear overhaul, my wrench was off by a few foot-pounds. If we hadn't caught it, the bolts might have been under-torqued. Maybe it's just me, but now I check calibration before every critical task. It's a small step that avoids big problems, idk.
