I finally got the hang of reading those old Cessna 172 wiring diagrams

For months, tracing a single circuit felt like untangling a ball of yarn. Then last week, I spent an hour just comparing the diagram to the actual harness in a '78 model, and the symbols just clicked. Anyone have a good trick for keeping track of which wire you're on when the bundle disappears into a wing root?

Finally got my pour over to stop tasting bitter after a year of messing it up

I always ended up with a sour or bitter cup from my V60, no matter the beans. Last Tuesday, I watched a video from a roaster in Seattle who said to pour way slower than you think. I tried it with my usual 22 grams, taking a full 45 seconds just for the bloom and first pour. The coffee came out smooth and sweet, not harsh at all. Has anyone else found that slowing down the pour that much made a big difference for them?

Spent a full weekend trying to get a local AI model to stop repeating itself

I was trying to set up a small language model on my own computer to help write project notes. The thing kept saying the same phrase over and over, like a broken record. I tried changing the temperature setting, the top_p value, and even the max token length, but nothing worked for hours. Turns out the problem was in the repetition penalty setting in the config file; I had it set way too low. Has anyone else run into this with running models locally?
