A neighbor told me his flock got mites from a bag of pine shavings

Freezing bedding is smart, never thought of that.

Pro tip: I tried a new lime mix on a garden wall and it set way too fast

Yeah but on a curve that rush just makes the lines sloppy lol. Gotta have that working time to get it right.

Adjusting my burr grinder transformed my daily drink

Yeah, I get that. I had the same problem with my grinder making things worse. What finally helped was changing only one thing at a time and writing it down. I kept a little notebook with the setting, how much coffee I used, and what it tasted like. After a week I saw a pattern and found two settings that worked for my usual beans. Now I only adjust if I switch bean types.

Unpopular opinion: Bulk buying hurts more than helps

Honestly, that's a solid point about planning ahead to make bulk work. Tbh I see a lot of people, like wade99 mentioned, just buying big because it's cheap without a real plan for the stuff. Ngl it feels like the real win is when you stop just following old shopping habits and actually build new routines around what you store. That shift from just buying to actually managing what you buy is what saves money and stress.

I bought a cheap paint sprayer for a room and it cost me more in the end

What did you expect from a tool that costs less than a good pizza dinner? Those bargain sprayers are basically fancy squirt guns that hate paint. You didn't save time, you bought a full day of frustration and a lesson. I've been there, staring at a clogged nozzle while my back hurts from all the rolling I ended up doing anyway. Sometimes the old brush and roller method is the real shortcut.
