My uncle Frank told me to use a heat gun on a dent, and I should have listened

He said to warm the metal up just a bit before pulling, but I was in a rush on this Ford Focus in the shop last Tuesday and skipped it. Ended up putting a small crease right in the middle of the panel that took me an extra two hours to fix. Anyone got a better trick for stubborn door dings?

That "stubborn door ding" trick is where a suction cup puller from the auto parts store saved me once.

Honestly, that's a way smarter move than my old method. I spent an hour once trying to use a toilet plunger on a dent. Just ended up with a clean, round spot on a dirty door. The suction cup thing actually looks like a tool, not a bathroom accident waiting to happen.
