Just hit 1,500 straight razor shaves in my chair

I've been keeping track of every straight razor shave I've done since I started five years ago and I crossed 1,500 this Tuesday. It surprised me because I thought I'd have more injuries or bad reactions by now, but I've only had two nicks that needed bandages. How many straight razor shaves have you guys done and have you kept count?

Keep your blades super dry between shaves and you'll keep that streak going even longer.

That's a good point @lee.diana, it's funny how a small habit like drying a blade can make such a big difference. It's like that with a LOT of things in life, the little maintenance stuff nobody talks about really decides how long something lasts. Same idea with keeping a cast iron pan oiled or not piling too much stuff on a work truck, it's all that simple, boring upkeep that makes the magic happen.
