Lost a client last week because they wanted a 48 hour turnaround on custom furniture

I mean, maybe it's just me but a single dining table takes my shop 3 weeks minimum with finishing. Has anyone else had clients not understand basic production timelines?

This whole thing reminds me of how people treat dating apps sometimes. You swipe right on someone, they match with you, but you can just tell they didn't actually read your profile. Same thing here with job hunting. It's like companies have a script they follow, sending out generic messages to a whole list of people without really knowing who they're contacting. Take my word for it, happens all the time, your mileage may vary.
