Vent: Blew $60 on fancy cable sleeves, still looks like a rat's nest

Bought a set of braided cable sleeves from Amazon last week. Thought they'd clean up the mess behind my desk. Nope. The sleeves are too stiff to bend around my monitor stand. Now I got three feet of empty sleeve sticking out like a weird tail. Anyone else have sleeves that just don't cooperate?

Bought the same kind of stiff braided ones and ended up with a sleeve tail that points straight up like a periscope. Had to cut the end off and just tuck it under my desk mat so it looks like a hidden snake. Honestly my cable management is more like cable surrender at this point.

Yeah I feel you on that, and betty_reed61 mentioned the periscope thing (which is exactly what I had too). What worked for me was ditching the stiff sleeves entirely and using those velcro cable wraps instead, they bend way easier and you can just wrap them tight around the monitor arm without any weird tails sticking out. Way less stressful and like $8 for a pack of them on Amazon, honestly wish I tried that first.
