PSA: I saw a huge before-and-after difference in my toner game after switching to cold water rinses
I used to rinse my toners with warm water (like I was washing dishes or something) and always got brassy results within 2 weeks. Switched to cold-only rinses about 3 months ago, and now my cool tones last a full 5 weeks before needing a touch-up. It's wild how much that 30-second change (seriously, just turn the faucet to cold) locked in the color. My clients in Portland are finally getting that ashy silver they've been begging for without fading after 10 days. Has anyone else noticed a bigger difference with water temp than with the actual toner brand you use?

Does cold water affect how your scalp handles buildup too?

Don't think cold water does much for buildup honestly. Warm water opens the pores and helps get product out better. Cold is more for frizz and shine after you're done washing.
