Pro tip: I fixed my blurry digital paintings by switching canvas sizes mid-project
I kept getting this muddy look in my fantasy landscape pieces, especially in the mountains. After about 10 tries, I bumped the DPI from 150 to 300 halfway through a forest scene and the detail just popped. Has anyone else found a magic DPI number that works best for their style?

Bigger life pattern here is that most people give up before finding the right settings for their own style. They blame the tools instead of fiddling with them. Same thing happens with anything creative, people think there's one magic DPI or one magic brush but it's really about testing stuff until it clicks. You found the sweet spot for your mountains, that's just your brain needing more pixels to work with. Next time it might be color depth or canvas rotation that unlocks something.

People get too comfortable with default settings and never try bumping things up. Most of my best art came after I stopped using whatever the tablet came set to. It is wild how much changing one number can fix everything.
