Wasted $80 on a monthly art tutorial subscription I never used

Signed up for that SketchMaster Pro thing in March after a flash sale. Used it twice. Forgot about it for 3 months. Canceled it this morning and realized I burned $80 on videos I never watched. Anyone else fall for those art subscription traps?

Oh man, does that sting or what? I've been there with a few different subscriptions myself. Those flash sales really know how to get you in the moment, don't they? It's so easy to think you'll find the time to watch all those tutorials, then life just gets in the way. Your mileage may vary, but I've learned the hard way to set a calendar reminder a week before any trial ends so I don't get burned again. Take it from someone who's wasted way more than $80 on stuff like this, at least you caught it when you did.

Man, is it really that big of a deal though? $80 over three months is like $26 a month. People spend that on coffee or a single dinner out without blinking. I get that it stings to waste money but this feels like one of those things where you just take the L and move on. Life's full of little screw-ups like this, you know? Personally I'd rather be mad at myself for forgetting to cancel than act like the subscription company tricked me or something. At the end of the day you signed up, forgot about it, and it's on you.
