Appreciation post: I was wrong about that new click vinyl plank with the foam backing
I got a sample of that new brand, the one with the built in foam pad. I figured it was just a gimmick to charge more. The rep said it would cut down on noise and feel better underfoot, but I've heard that before. I put it in my own mudroom about six months ago as a test. It's over a concrete slab that used to make everything sound hollow. I have to admit, the difference is real. It's quieter when you walk on it, and it has a softer feel that my wife really likes. It went down just as fast as regular planks, too. Has anyone else used this stuff on a bigger job? I'm thinking about offering it as an upgrade but want to know how it holds up.
