My uncle told me to use a 6 mil vapor barrier on a concrete slab in Phoenix and the homeowner called me back 9 months later with a mold complaint.
He swore it was standard practice everywhere, but in our dry climate it trapped the tiny bit of moisture coming up and ruined a $4,200 glue-down LVP job, so has anyone else in an arid zone had this happen and what do you use instead?

Well at least it's a free boat anchor. Better than paying six mil for the privilege of owning one.
