Honestly, I found that in a university extension article online and it blew my mind. No wonder my delivery van's AC bill spikes every July. Anyone else have a fact that made you rethink a basic part of the job?

Doubt that stat is totally accurate for a normal garden. A gallon per bush per day sounds like a lab study under perfect conditions. Most home roses probably get by on way less, especially if the soil is decent. People read stuff like that and start overwatering everything.
