Used to think board games needed a ton of people to be fun
My buddy and I got stuck with just the two of us last Friday and played a game of Azul. It was actually way more intense and strategic one-on-one. Anyone have other good games for two players?
Abby Palmer's got the right idea with Patchwork. That game really clicked for me and my partner. We tried it after getting frustrated with some other two-player games. Ended up playing it like five times in one weekend. The whole fitting pieces thing is surprisingly tense.
Oh man, totally. Patchwork is perfect for two, it's all about fitting quilt pieces together. Jaipur is another fast card game we play all the time, it's just trading and set collecting. You get that same tight, thinky feel as Azul.
