My whole Tuesday felt like a rerun of Monday, down to the same spilled coffee

Last week, I swear I lived the exact same day twice. On Tuesday, my coworker Dave told the same joke about his cat, I got the same wrong sandwich order from the deli, and I even saw the same blue car with a dented fender pass my house at 5:15 PM. It was so specific it really freaked me out. Has anyone else had a day just copy and paste itself like that?

It's the small, weird details that get you, like that specific blue car. Our brains are built to find patterns, even when they aren't really there (it's a survival thing). You might have just noticed a bunch of normal stuff on Monday, and then your mind was primed to spot it all again on Tuesday, making it feel like a replay.

Yeah, that "primed to spot it" thing @troy_ross said is SO real. It happens to me with songs on the radio. I'll hear some random old song, then suddenly it's playing in a store AND in a commercial the same week. My brain goes "THIS IS A SIGN" but it's probably just me finally paying attention. Makes you question every little coincidence.
