I was stuck between a clean grid layout and a chaotic collage for a concert poster
Went with the collage, and the client in Denver said it 'perfectly captured the messy energy of the show'. Anyone have a go-to method for organizing visual chaos?

Chaos is just lazy design. Grids can show energy without looking like a trash pile.

Wow, you know I always went for chaotic layouts. But that "grids can show energy" line actually makes a ton of sense. Might have to rethink some stuff.

Yeah, a good grid gives you a rhythm to break. You can throw in one wild element and it pops way more because everything else is steady. That contrast is where the real energy comes from.
