My routine shift to compression checks on diesel engines

Isn't it funny how the fancy electronics in newer stuff makes us forget the basics? I read a piece by a fleet mechanic who said his shop wasted a ton of money on sensor swaps before they made a rule to always check air and compression first on any power complaint. It's like we're trained to look for the hard answer when the simple one is right there. Your story with the tractor valves is the perfect proof of that.

Just had a lightbulb moment about setting the room vibe before a facial, clients relax way faster now.

Warning: My attic find pickle recipe caused a neighborhood smell crisis

Oh man, did you get that weird burnt vinegar and sulfur mix too? I tried a fermented garlic honey last year that made my whole apartment building smell like a swamp monster's feet. My next door neighbor actually knocked to ask if my sink drain had died. The smell stuck around for like three days no matter how much I aired the place out.

That last creosote clog convinced me to ditch flexible rods for rigid ones.

Totally agree! That solid rod gives you way more scraping power against tough creosote. Makes a huge difference for those nasty, packed-in clogs.
